Hurricane Alley
Hurricane Season is around the corner - it officially begins on June 1st. We still need to get all sorts of things like food supplies, a waterproof container for clothes and documents yada yada yada in case we get hit. Plus I need to find out what the deal is with boarding up the windows. Need to contact the Landlord. Not too concerned, because Landlord lived through Hurricane Ivan (the craziest hurricane to ever hit the Cayman Islands - although more people died in the 1932 hurricane, this one did so much more damage to the infrastructure).
The aftermath may be the problem - didn't think about crazy heat after (no electricity for aircon) as well as the Mosquito buildup after a hurricane hits.
I'm attaching the 2004 and 2005 hurricane season charts to let you guys know how screwed we are if a hurricane comes in low off the north costs of South America.
Also, check out www.weather.com link alongside for a cool Caribbean weather website. www.CNN.com had a good specials section on the Hurrricane Season last year - its not up yet though for 2006, but watch this space.

It all starts with a plan. 5 years of University, followed up with 3 years of indebtured servitude for a major Accounting Firm. 8 years is an insane commitment when you realise its almost 50% of the total time you've been alive at the starting point.
If you are a financial/accounting professional, the Cayman Islands are easy to get into.
And then you just have to remember to live the life you've been granted.
